CEO and founder of IMANI Africa Franklin Cudjoe demands from the Electoral Commission to hold elections for citizens in the communities of Santrokofi, Akpafu, Likpe and Lolobi (SALL) in the Hohoe constituency in the Oti region by March 2021
His comment comes several weeks after registered citizens of ”SALL” were deprived of their right to vote during the just-ended 2020 general election.
Mr Franklin Cudjoe who is a native of Lolobi, one of the affected town in the Oti region cautioned that the Electoral Commision’s failure to come up and scheduled time for citizen of the affected towns to vote will push him to support a formal petition to remove the Chairperson of the Electoral Commision.
As a result of the creation of Oti Region and subsequent creation of Guan District (Santrokofi, Akpafu, Lolobi and Likpe SALL), the Electoral Commission of Ghana gave a directive that the people of Santrokofi, Akpafu, Lolobi and Likpe (SALL) should not vote in the parliamentary election in the Hohoe Constituency on December 7.”
“The EC should hold elections for the SALL by March 2021. Failure to do this, I will support a formal petition to remove the EC”
