Former President John Mahama says he looking forward to working US President-elect Joe Biden.

Mr Biden who is the nominee for the Democratic Party has beaten President Donald Trump in the US elections. Official results suggest he has exceeded the 270 electoral college votes needed to win the US presidency.

Most media houses in America have called the election for Mr Biden and his runningmate Senator Kamala Harris ahead of the declaration of official results.

In a statement, flagbearer of the NDC said the election of Senator Harris as first female Vice President of the United States will impact the world greatly.

For her part, NDC runningmate Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang said: “Congratulations to President-elect Joe Biden and Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris on their victory in the US elections. Special mention also to my friend Dr Jill Biden who will become the First Lady of the United States of America. Good wishes for the journey ahead”.
