Next NDC government to give Rawlings a befitting burial – Stephen Atubigah.

A member of the communication team of the opposition New Democratic Congress (NDC), Stephen Atubiga have said that the next NDC government will give late former President Rawlings a befitting burial.
Mr. Atubiga who was a presidential hopeful in 2020 made this known in a post he made on his Facebook wall.
According him, Rawlings who left behind a great legacy should not be wasted this way, that his remains should be displayed for at least some 100 years to come for the next generation to see.
Mr Stephen Atubiga also suggests relocation of the late former President’s body to the family’s agreed location in the Volta Region.
He again said the next NDC government may even raise a monument through the ministry of tourism so that Rawlings’ body be stored over there for tourist attractions.

I would like to assure Ghanaians that, the next NDC government soon under JDM . will give JJ a befitting burial. together with the family/ volta.
JJ’S capacity and legacy should not be buried wasted this way. His body should be displayed for at least 100 years to come. For next generation to see .
We will relocate the (JJ ) body per the arrangements agreed location of the family of volter / kingsmen choice.
A museum may even be built through ministry of tourism , for
JJ’S body to be stored and displayed there for tourist attraction.
We in NDC, knows and believes JJ would have loved to have an NDC befiting burial . Especially next to late prof. Mills would have been good for the national interest .
Well, time will tell.”
