The deputy National Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Edem Agbana has said government should stop using GRIDCo to issue useless statements on the power situations in the country
According to the NDC’s deputy National Youth Organizer, President Akufo Addo and the energy minister Dr. Opoku-Prempeh are using the GRIDCo as a shield and giving no reasonable excuses on the current power situations in the country.
His comment came after citizens start complaining bitterly about the government inability to fix problems with power supply in the country which leads to frequent unannounced power cut to towns and cities across the country.
He says government should accept responsibility, issue timetable to the citizens for them to be aware of when their power will be cut and reinstalled and also address measures being considered to solve the problem.
“H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo & Dr Mathew Opoku-Prempeh (NAPO) , STOP using GRIDCO to issue useless statements, giving ridiculous excuses on our power situation.
Leadership demands that you step out, accept responsibility, Give us a timetable and tell us what you are doing to solve the problem.
Your ineptitude in handling the situation is too glaring.
Too many inconsistencies.
Be Leaders , Accept Responsibility and Provide Solutions.”
