A 60-year-old man identified as Kwadwo Mensah has been beaten to death in a church at Afrekyene near Mankranso in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
According to reports, Opanyin Kwadwo Mensah and a group of his church members were having a general cleaning at the church premises where he was attacked by a swarm of bees.
As old as he was he couldn’t run to save his life.
He was mobbed by the bees who subjected him to multiple stings which eventually cost his life.
The other members who saw Opanyin Kwadwo Mensah being attacked by the bees tried to rescue him but were also chased away by the bees.
Opanin Kwadwo Mensah’s body has been deposited at the Mankranso Government Hospital mortuary waiting for burial.
Residents of the town expressed their shock at the incident saying that such an incident has never occurred in the town.
They added that not a single bee was found at the location of the attack after the death of Opanyin Kwadwo Mensah.
